Guys, I would like to be able to setup an Exch server to be used for testing. Question is : Is it possible to route second e-mail domain to test server with our existing router? Would then be able to test various scenarios in what would effectively be a live environment but would not affect production server in any way.

assuming you've got the appropriate MX records set up for the internet, I suppose it would depend on whether you're using NAT, and whether you've got an extra public address you can use. If so, you can tell the router that any packets bound for that second public address should be forwarded to the appropriate inside IP...
If you're not using NAT and you've got the extra addresses, it's shouldn't be a problem at all...

Thanks B. Thats what we've agreed internally with network manager here.We dont have extra public address at the moment but will do shortly for firewall project.Got spare domains aswell so should be straight forward.Would be great when done as all upgrades & patches (plus testing) can be done in effectively live environment without wrecking production server!! Plus still learning exchange & dont want to blow production server - again!!
