Hi All

I have an application that supplies an ODBC Driver Manager which I've used to connect to an Oracle DB no problem. Now I'm trying to get to a DB2 backend and have no luck at all. Is anyone aware of a freeware type tool that I can use to try to test/debug my connection? I really think it's a configuration issue, as I can connect to the DB using the native connect. Any help/steerage in the right direction appreciated.
TIA
Rick

The only message I'm getting in my application log is "Failed to connect to database DB2DSN" - not extremely helpful.
On another note, I downloaded DBI and DBD::ODBC for Perl and thought I'd give that a try. DBI builds and installs fine, and DBD::ODBC builds but fails most tests. It's saying "Connect failed" but not supplying any further info. I'm 99.9% sure it's a config issue of some sort, becasue when I "snoop" my network traffic, there's nothing happening at all towards the DB2 host.
Somethings gonna give.....
Rick
