Chris Lewis's Cisco book describes a basic frame-relay setup simulation using 3 routers, back-to-back cables. I haven't had success getting this to work. One router acts as the frame switch between the other 2 routers by setting up the serial interfaces as DCE and using the "frame-relay route ip..." commands. After I get it configed all the interfaces are up but protocol remains down. From one router (DTE) I can see that the LMI enquiries ( debug frame-relay lmi )are being sent out but I see no incrementing on the DCE/serial interface as if they're not being received. From the show int screens I can see the DTE\DCE lmi is down. I down have the configs in front of me but can post them if that would help. Any assistance would be appreciated.
