Test if port is ready with Clipper inside Widnows XP

Hi, I need to try if local port (for example, LPT3) is ready with a application working inside Windows XP.
My application works fine inside Windows 9X, but XP not.

Please help me. I am crazy !!!!

This is a problem with all NT based Windows versions (NT/W2K/WXP) There isn't much you can do about it. NT-likes hide hardware details from applications.

You will have to bypass the printer driver.
