I am having a new port network installed today. However, before the work began, one of my UPS' died and knocked out my C carrier. (3 T1s and the digital cards for the CEO and CIO's phone reside here...) Anyway, my BP logged in today and ran the command Test Environment 1. 7 minutes later, the Carrier dropped and these alarms appeared:

01C00 PS-RGEN y MAJOR c 03/27/13:00 03/27/13:12
01C00 POW-SUP y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01C00 POW-SUP y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01C00 POW-SUP y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01C00 POW-SUP y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01C00 POW-SUP y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01C00 POW-SUP y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01C00 PS-RGEN y MAJOR c 03/27/13:12 03/27/13:12
01 CAB-PFL y MAJOR c 03/27/13:05 03/27/13:18

I am not sure exactly what this command does but I am fairly certain the two are connected. If anyone knows any info, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Joe

The test enviroment usually deals with power or external devices. The command didn't hurt anything, if that is what you a looking for. It seems that UPS is the problem and the C carrier needs a little juice. Thats is why the ring generator and power supply alarms. The command to resolve these after power is restored and back to normal would be either "test alarms long clear or you could run the "test enviroment" and that should resolve the power alarms.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.
