Hi, This site:

lists really badly with google. A search on the word "deepconnection" doesn't even bring it up near the top even though it is a pretty unique word. Can anyone point out why this may be?

Thanks for any help

I should write something here.

I've not done alot of poking around here, it's late and I should be in bed!

Why do you think you would rank on the term "deepconnection"?
How many times does it appear on your homepage (I've not checked the whole site yet). As far as I can see, it's in the title once and once on the page as body text. Although it's probably a unique name, "deep connection" is a common phrase that could be mistyped on hundreds of sites so as to leave out the space.

The web design sector is saturated (suprise suprise!). It's going to be hard to get a good ranking based on web design related search terms unless you concentrate on a particular geographical location.
So weave some text into your site that Search Engines can pick up on.

Also, what links do you have coming into the site? A couple of good directory listings (in Yahoo for example) can work wonders to get the ball rolling.

Check your logs to see if the pages have been spidered and if they have, how long ago? It can take time to "settle" into the search results. I've had pages bouncing up and down 10,000 positions a day for weeks until they settle.

I need to sleep! I'll look again tomorrow.

The basic problem is you don't have any backlinks at all that Google classes as useful. So Google has decided your site isn't important, and all your pages are in the Supplemental index and will be unlikely to show for anything other than very specific terms.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks for that guys.

Do you mean by backlinks, links on my pages to other pages or links on other pages to my pages? I suspect it's the latter. How can I get them would probably be an eternal question?

Thanks again warby12
