Hi
Unable to open the /etc/ftpusers due to the reason "terminal too wide", also failed even after the use of "stty columns 240" to increase the terminal width. Anyone who can help on this? Many thanks.

Make your terminal window smaller?

I think the error message you're getting is from vi, right? I don't have a Solaris box to experiment with, but it only supports windows up to a certain width. On HP-UX it seems to be 212 characters wide.

Similarly it complains that the "Screen too large for internal buffer" if the dimensions multiplied together result in something greater than approx 16720.

Alternatively, you could install vim which seems happy to run even with 420 cols by 175 rows!
