|’m wondering if you can help me. We have a customer who is in france and is connecting to Dublin Office using a pptp vpn and then using RDP Client to connect to the server. The customer wants to print to his local printer from terminal services. He has a HP Officejet 5600 printer – I could extract the driver so Its using the failback driver that comes with Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 – (deskjet 500 driver). You can see the printer when he connects to Terminal Services, when you send a print job from terminal services you can see it in the queue on the local pc but it never prints.

Can anyone tell me if there is a solution for this.

You should be able to install the driver on the TServer, and then he should reinstall his local printer through TSSession and select the driver from the server.

Hope this Helps.

I wouldn't install the printer as a print object on the TS box. Go into PRINTERS, and click FILE>SERVER PROPERTIES, and install the driver on the DRIVERS section. That's the recommended method.
