Hi Folks,

I hope someone can help with this as I have been searching the Web for the fix to this issue but have had no Joy.

Users are logging in to a Terminal Server, and creating thier sessions, going to another local server to open a file, (an Access .mdb file) but are getting the following issue:

"Windows cannot access specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

This happens for all users, apart from the Administrator (Not Domain Admins), when they log in. They can open other files in the same folder, but not the .mdb.

Users are connecting to the site via Trusted Sites in our Firewall.

I have tried giving a user Domain Admin membership, Administrator membership, nothing, it is, I am assuming a permissions issue on the Terminal Services, but where I can add MS Access to it I don't know.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Did you install Access before you TS was running? If so the you have to uninstall and re-install while in TS mode. Also check permissions on the file make sure users have write access to it.

thats a good question and good point...have to go into install mode if it wasnt installed before TS
