Hi

I have a Win2003 domain server with users logging in via TS. I have a group policy defined. With all my users the Administrative Tools in the start menu is not visible except for one user. This user is in the same groups as everyone else, I cannot understand why this is visible? Can anyone shed some light on this. They cannot actually do much as when they try to run an application it says they are not an administrator!

Thank you very much.

Dave

bigdavelamb,

Check if the policy has not been explicitly denied for that user. You can deny Apply Policy for specific users or groups which will override any other setting. Also, is that user in the same OU? GPO is linked to Site, Domain or an OU, not a security group (we can exclude local policies in your case).

Hi Misio

Thanks for the post.

I do not think the user has policy denied and I only have one OU.
