Terminal Services and Printer Redirection

We have a Windows 2000 Server which is running Terminal Servics. Printer re-direction is working fine with the clients exception of one printer. The printer is a Canon MPC600F which is a fax, scanner and printer all in one effort. I have installed the latest drivers off the web and installed them on the server. When the client connects the printer is recognised and a queue created. When a document is sent to print it goes into the queue with a status "printing" and after a short while the status changes to "Printed". Nothing happens after that and nothing prints!

The only significant factor I can tell happening in the event log is that the "Canon MPC600F FAX" printer is not recognised. Will this affect the normal printing?

Sorry for the long winded post but I thought I would try to explain all of the details :) Any one got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I believe you need to set up the networked printer as a local port on the Terminal Server for certain printers.

After the user logs in pause the printer in terminal server. Then pause it on the local machine. Send a test page from TS. It will be in the paused quene on TS. Un pause the printer in TS and watch the job leave the quene. Look in the quene on the local machine. The job should be in the paused quene on the local machine now. If it doesn't show up in the local machine quene you have a problem. Un pause the local quene and watch what s happens.

This is a start.
