We have two servers, one running IIS 6 for our internal asp.net applications and another running terminal services for remote users. Several of our asp.net applications have the authentication mode set to windows (web.config) and when terminal sessions access the application they are required to authenticate again, even though they authenticated with their AD user to logon to the terminal server. The web authentication popup form says "Connect to ghp0031.ghplp.com" and below is the normal user name and pwd fields. GHP0031 is the IIS server. The same users are automatically authenticated when they access the IIS server from a normal XP session.

Seems that removing the Windows Component "IE Enhanced Security Configuration" on the server allowed the credentials to be passed.
