We are trying something different to eliminate network traffic when we run our reports. We have two data centers that are located about 3 hours from the HQ. The database is located in AREA B. And we have "Sorta" report server which is also located in AREA B. The developer is located in HQ. When we run our reports from HQ. we use Terminal Services to connect to AREA B report server. WE open multiple instance of Terminal Services to develop or run reports.

Q. Is there an issue with Crystal Report 9 Advanced being run in multi instance using Terminal Services. We seems to loose the Fonts if we open multi session of Crystal Reports.

Hi,
Are you really saving network traffic with all those Terminal Server sessions passing data back and forth instead of just database info being exchanged?

What database are you using?

Also, there may be some licensing issues involved in your method..

SQL server 2K. and yes we are pulling sales reports for each rep and comparing them year by year and revenue date current to last year's revenue, and then group it by rep then by account then by products and summary for each group. I can have millions of records that we have to evaluate in one report. Our network guys have been monotoring the network traffic and is able to pin point the machine that has the highest traffic.
