I have been a NT/2000 guy since I first got into the field of IT. Though, I am tired of Windows crashing on email and rebuilding it. With that I still have managed to stay with Windows because of Terminal Service for remote access and Exchange for Email server. I have heard someone once said that Red Hat will offer such services such as Exceed (Hummingbird). Where can I get docmentation on setting this up. Secondly, what would be idle for email server for Red Hat.

Thank you,
Richard

Hi,

The mail server question comes up a couple of times a week - here's a link to a previous article that may help.

thread54-512867 for terminal server equivalence, there's a lot more 'terminal service' inheritance within linux. If it's for administration, then you can do that with a regular terminal session. If you want a remote desktop, then there's VNC (it creates a virtual desktop -rather than winVNC which just takes over the host desktop).

If you want a full 'terminal services' facility, then there is the linux terminal server project and also the proprietary "tarantella".
