I have a Windows 2003 server running Terminal Services. I have 7 Cals for TS clients. I connected to the TS server with a client 1 time while I was configuring the server, and now the TS licensing engine has assigned a certificate to that user for the next 78 days. Although I know it will expire soon enough, it is wasting one of my permanent licenses and I wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to manually remove a TS token?

Thanks

Mark

Well you don't have to. Since the issued CAL would expire and after that this CAL would be renewed, or the client would recieve a new permanent CAL (If available) or a temporary CAL. The original CAL would be returned to License server.

Yeah, that license will be returned to the pool after that period. In the meantime, if a license is unavailable, a client will receive a temporary license that is good for 90 days, which allows time for a permanent license to become available.
