Hi guys,

I am using Terminal Service Client to connect to a server outside my LAN, I am behind a firewall, I am not able to connect.

Port 3389 which is used for Terminal Service is open and although that I changed it to another working port through Registry. Still can not connect.

I need to specify the firewall IP address to Terminal Service Client. How to??

Thanks,

I'm not sure you got it right, or you didn't explain it right, but for arguments sake, let's leave the TS port alone at 3389.

You must be allowed to exit your firewall with port 3389 and the firewall at the receiving end must also allow port 3389 to enter. In other words, both ports must be opened on the firewall.

If you change the port number, you must adjust both firewalls in consequence.

In most small buisnesses, Firewalls are programmed that so everything outgoing is permitted, but everything incoming is closed.
