Hello,

I have two users on a Windows 2003 terminal server who have their terminal sessions lockout after 25 minutes. These users do not have access to their desktop properties or the control panel. There are three other users on this server that do not experience this problem. I have given these two users new profiles and they are still experiencing the problem. If I log on as the domain or local administrator the screen saver and power options are disabled. Does anybody have a suggestion to fix this issue?

Thank you,

Configure a policy to set the value or to unlock those screens. Move the TS box to a new OU and use local loopback to have it just apply to the terminal server.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

This doesn't explain why users from the same group policy are not experiencing this problem. It is only two users out of a possible five that could be effected. All the users are under the same group policy.

I think it is logical to assume that the existing policy is set to a timeout value and perhaps you only have two users allowing it to reach that point of inactivity.

I hope you find this post helpful.

The other users only use the computer periodically throughout the day - thus have a more likely chance of hitting a point of inactivity. They are away longer but do not have the screen locked when they return.

OK, so what GPOs do you have enabled?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
