I have muliple users that need access to particular server. Since remote desktop only allows two concurrent sessions users had to wait for someone to finish. I purchased some Terminal Server Client Licenses and installed them on the Domain Controller. When I try to add the Terminal Server role to the server that needs multiple access it tells me that all the programs will need to be reinstalled. Is there another way to accomplish this or did I miss something? This is production server so re-installing everything is not good.

Ive done that a few times, its always worked out fine just ignoring that warning. However your milage may vary.

Ok. Let me take a backup and try it. Thanks.

I have a lot of experience with Terminal Servers and not re-installing the apps would be wrong. It may work at times but usually something creeps up.

Well, I guess I am out of luck then because reinstalling the apps is not an option that is available to me. I have 2 applications running on that sever which use SQL that can not go down.

All I cab suggest is to try it and you may get lucky. Consult with the software maker that you use to be sure.
