We are currently running 3 terminal servers. One 2008 and 2 2008 R2s. Since the 2008 is our legacy we have that set up as our terminal farm session broker and the other two as members of the farm with load balancing. This is a new system for us and what we have noticed is that we have some users that will log on and their shortcut for the application they need to run is gone or the start path has changed. We have noticed this more with those who work off site and have to connect via VPN. Has anyone else seen any similar to this and what did you do to solve it?

It sounds like their profiles aren't being shared between the terminal servers.

If you have a SAN device to put their profiles on that is accessible by the terminal servers, it should resolve it. Sounds like they have profiles on each terminal server.
