My Terminal Server sessions fail to logoff when closing the program that has been automaticly started when loggin on.
The program is beeing closed correctly but the session is still active only showing a blank screen. Disconnecting can be made by closing the session windows but then I cant log on anymore with the same user.

When no program is started and using the Logoff choice on the Startmeny the session is beeing logged off correctly.

Greatful for ideas!

I don't know why the application (or session) would hang like that but here is one thing which will help to kind of get around that.

On the ADVANCED CONNECTION SETTINGS of Citrix Connection Configuration make sure to enter a value (1 minute) for DISCONNECTED SESSION TIMEOUT.

Thanks for your advice. I am aware of that setting but thats not the issue.

After closing the application the client window stays up with a blank screen only.

I understand what is happening. And the setting I mentioned SHOULD close (disconnect) that "session". Have you looked to see if there is indeed an active session originating from the workstation which just "closed" the application on the server? How exactly are you exiting the application? Are you closing the app and then trying to close the session window? Or are you just closing the session window? Does it act the same way no matter how you exit?

The blank screen is showing only when Im closing the application. If the sessionwindow is closed the window closes ok, but the session is still active in the Terminal Server Manager. A new login couldnt be done with the same user until the session is Disconnected using the Manager or the Timeout. And thats not the way it should be...
