Im connecting to an Windows Terminal Server via an Windows 2000 PPTP VPN server. But when the session is idle for some seconds the Terminal Server client disconnects. The PPTP session is still alive but i have to reconnect to the WTS.

Is there any setting to get the session alive when idle?

Greatful for answer.

Try this. Open the computer management screen and go to system tools. Go to local users and groups and seclect the user in question. Right click on your mouse to bring up the properties link. Once you in properties click on the sessions tab ans then set your active limits as well as your inactive limits. I imagine that these are set incorrectly right now.

Let me know if it works.

The Windows Terminal Server is an NT 4 server. And it works fine when connecting via an ISDN router. So the problem could't be in the WTS.
Seems like the Windows 2000 PPTP VPN server sort of disconnects, but the link is still there.

Greatful for more ideas!

Unfortunatly I'm not familure with the PPTP VPN server but I do know that our VPN has settings for both the tunnel and users as far as keep alives are concerned. It could be something like that in your setup.
