Is there a script or an easy way to have a users outlook profile setup when they log into a terminal server for the first time without setting it up manually. Email is Exchange Server 2003.

Thanks,

Not an easy way i know of, but I did have a workaround.

I created a new user called username101.

I then logged onto the terminal server to create a profile.

I set up exchange for this user.

I then copied this profile over the default user profile on the TS.

I then opened RegEdit and did a "find" for username101 and change all entries to %username%

Now, all new users that log onto the TS go into Exchange and it simply opens up without having to go through the wizard.

I won't testify that this is the best way. And this effect was actually a side effect of what i wanted to do. I was trying to build a default profile, but annoying found out that now everyone who logged onto the TS started Outlook with that user's account, which of course they had no permission for!! So to fix I did the above, and it actually worked out well, because I hadn't intended that side-effect, which is what you want to do! ;)

hope this helps a bit.

Will
