Environment: Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003. Users connect to terminal servers.

Some users require additional mailboxes within Outlook. I am currently redirecting the Application Data folder which redirects some Outlook settings such as signature, but these additional mailboxes dont redirect. A user hits a random terminal server in the farm each day. I cant add these mailboxes back manually each day, its far too much work. Anyone know of a way to get these mailboxes to stick no matter which terminal server a user hits?

Thanks,

Outlook is supposed to remember if you add additional mailboxes. It's probably the redirecting data folder that is confusing it. Sorry that it's not very helpful, sounds like a tough problem.
Other thing is, I think Outlook stores it's settings here:

Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem

Well Outlook does remember the setting if by chance they hit the same terminal server box that it was configured on. But if they hit a different TS those additional mailboxes are gone.

You are correct on the Outlook settings in the registry. I had to mess with this alot to get the signatures to redirect and be set by default for all users. That was a pain in the butt. I'm hoping this won't be as difficult. Thanks for your response.

Any other ideas?

Just had a thought, do you have terminal server profiles setup in AD on their accounts?

nope. not using roaming profiles. everything is local. i am just pushing down settings with scripts and redirecting the application data folder.

Only thing I can think of is to export the Outlook registry key to maybe their home drive and import it every time they login.
Using roaming profiles with multiple terminal servers saves a lot of hassles. It's what we do with most of our customers. Sorry I can't help you with this.

that is a good suggestion. what would be the best way to export the windows messaging subsystem registry key and import it for the user each time they login? I have found which key it is storing the additional mailboxes, but not sure of the best way to go about exporting it to their home drive and importing it back each time.
