I have a TS2k3 server and it doesnt accept IE settings set in GPO such as assiging urls to intranet or trusted sites...i have posted a few forums here and nothing has worked.
i can see the problem now, but i dont know the solution to this.
Enhanced Internet Security is blocking the gpo from applying itself to users IE settings.
I have removed the Enhance Intenet seucrity from the TS server, when i open internet it says its disabled, when ohter users (not admins)use the internet it says it is enabled. I have removed it by going into install mode. I have tryed reinstalling and uninstalling it again,,,,
Does anyone know a differnet way of getting rid of the stupid Enhanced Internet Security on Terminal Server?

Usually when you install TS the first time you are prompted to disable this option (wasn't this the case?)

Try the following link to see if it helps

Check the following;

Once you have had enhanced security enabled, disabling it won't totally clean things up for existing users (eg warning dialog). That will require changing:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings, IEHarden = 0

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings, IEHardenIENoWarn = 1

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap, IEHarden = 0

You might like to do this to the default user profile as well. "

so am i understanding you correctly in that you went into add/remove programs|add/remove windows components and unchecked the box?
