I have a customer running Windows 2003 Server Standard as a single server (no AD) that has been running for about 2 1/2 years. Suddenly there is one user (that I know of) that cannot search for files. The search function comes up fine but when she launches the search, there are no results. She can drill down to the folder that the file is located in and start the search from there and the search still comes up empty.
I have checked the file associations and the file types are present. She has admin rights. I can do the same searches in my session and get the correct results. I am obviously looking over something very basic.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try erasing her profile and having a new one generated when she logs in.

(make sure to back up any data first!)

Thanks,
Andrew

I agree with Andrew, sounds like a corrupt user profile.

I hope you find this post helpful.
