Recently purchased 3 Posiflex XT4015's to use with Aloha POS, running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. Hooked them up to a network (not a live network on which the restaurant operates) with a Windows 2008 R2 server with Aloha 6.7.2 installed and a 3 terminal license. I had multiple networking issues between the 3 terminals, but solved the issues to the point that all 3 terminals pinged each other and the server and even communicated within the windows environment. One terminal successfully loaded Aloha and became the master. The other two terminals have the "Failed to register station name......error ncb lana num field invalid. Triple checked names, workgroup, ip's ibercfg.bat files, disabled firewalls, bootdrv shares, etc. I have run lanacfg on the terminals, but Windows 7 dos commands do not include lanacfg. Scanning Microsoft, lanacfg has to do with earlier versions of Windows. These terminals have two nics each. The Intel nics gave me the worst problems with networking. The Realtecs seem to do better, but Aloha isn't cooperating.
Anyone with Windows 7 terminal install experience, or with these Posiflex models have any ideas?
