Have old Javelin terminal running XP and bought some Radiant 1220 with XP. At restaurant number one changed term 3 no problem thru terminst ext.. set up ips, computer name and .bat file. all good.

Went to store #2 to do the same thing and ran into this issue. Ran terminst and changed all needed to run. The term loaded fine but could not find fileserver but saw the network. Turned off term1 and term2 and the new term fired up as master and ran as should. Tried to turn on term1 and term2 and now they could not fine the server? Turn term3 off and then term1 and term2 fired right up. No ip conflict and can see all terms from all computers except cant see term3 bootdrv from any computer because it ask for a user and password. Tried all the usual suspects and nothing. Put old term3 on and back to normal. The new term 3 is set up exactly like the old term3. IP, workgroup, computer name .bat edit... I'm missing something? Even with aloha table service off i still cant see the term3 innards without a user name and password. no firewalls on, system is not hooked up to the internet.. so ip are given...Baffled?

My guess is the Aloha drive on one or more of the terminals is not shared correctly. Should be shared as BOOTDRV, max allowed.
