I'm about to take a class on Unix, and I had some questions relating to teradata.
I'm not very familiar with Unix, but I do know that our TD runs on MP-RAS. Are there advantages to using Unix over Windows to run queries through the database?
Is there a way for a user to log into the TD Unix environment through windows? What TD utility would they use, and how would they invoke it? I'm most familiar with the Windows TUF package. There are some utilities that I have never used such as WinCLI and BteqWin, and these names obviously point to a windows platform, but are they used to access the Unix boxes?
