What are the best settings for optimal performance using the fast export utility? I am running a 20 amp system. I am exporting a 500,000 row table and it is taking 8 hours. I haven't used this much before, so I imagine there must be some settings that I can switch.

I am currently using 4 sessions. I tried 20 (one for each amp) and my RDBMS crashed.

TIA

Craig

Hi,
I should point out that the default for fast export is one session per amp so 20 sessions for 20 amps should be a perfectly legal thing to do.

On the hand, nothing the user can throw at this software should crash it. A response like

"well just don't do that."

is unacceptable in my book, now a response like...

"Well just don't do that...until we solve this problem"

is an acceptable answer.

every crash should be reported to the GSC so they can verify whether it is a known problem or a new problem and they can help you resolve it.
