Hie to you all.

I have set up some tenants on the Mxe rel 6 current. The problem that I face is that (1)stations in one tenant can not call the console of other tenants.Note: tenants stations can call each other. (2)Also directed call pick up between stations in different tenants is failing. (3)Cant transfer an incoming call from one tenant console to another.
The message I see is that Interconnect Fail.
Is there a way of solving all the mentioned issues?

Thank you.

Have you tried looking in the Tenant form?
Look at the permissions acquired

The tenant form has permissions granted matching permissions acquired. Note tenant stations can call each other except other tenants' attendants plus the other 2 listed issues,

How about the interconnect restriction form?
Do you have interconnect restrict enabled?

All interconnect restrictions are on default.

I would try and de program a phone in the 2nd group back to default and then try re programming it
See if this kick it in.
If not I can only suggest a backup and restore as it does seem that something has got it wires crossed.
directed call pickup should work without issue as should xfer between consoles
Do you have ICP/PBX programmed correctly? has this been recently changed?

Deprogrammed a phone in the tenant and programmed it back. The condition remains the same.
The icp is a new installation. All the programming is 3days old.

I suppose you have tried the 'magic reboot'?

are the consoles listed in the permissions section.
as for call pickup not all features work x-tenanting, although I did not see it noted in operation od directed call pickup, so is the class of service programmed properly.

The consoles share the same COS as all the stations. That is COS 1.
When you say are the consoles listed in the permissions section I do not get you. When I check permissions on the Tenanting Form it just shows Permissions Granted & Acquired as per Tenant Group and not per Station or Console.
Please explain further.

From MCD Rel 6, Tenants Form
Permissions Granted
Sets Enter the number of each tenant whose members are allowed to call the members of this tenant. Separate the numbers with commas. See Call_Permissions. You can only give permissions to tenants in "occupied" status.
default value Blank
Trunks Enter the number of each tenant whose members are allowed to use the trunks of this tenant. Separate the numbers with commas. See Routing_Permissions. You can only give permissions to tenants in "occupied" status. See Attendant Permissions.
default value Blank
Attendants Enter the number of each tenant whose members are allowed to use the attendants of this tenant. Separate the numbers with commas. This automatically gives this tenant's attendants permission to call the other tenants sets.
You can only give permissions to tenants in "occupied" status.
default value Blank

As for directed call pickup with reference to consoles
Except for calls to an attendant console, directed Call Pickup applies to both local and remote directory numbers. Console calls are restricted to pick up by local stations only.

Allow Directed Call Pickup of Attendant Call
Select "Yes" to allow an extension user to answer calls, except recalls and callbacks, to an attendant console by using the Call Pickup - Directed feature and dialing the console prime line number.
The console must have "Call Pickup - Directed: Accept" enabled in its Class of Service for its calls to be picked up.

Followed the steps from Waldosworld and most of my issues got resolved however I have one problem left.
If an outgoing call is made from any Attendant Console then gets answered, that call can not be transferred to Stations of either the same Tenant or any other Tenant. When an attempt to press the release button in order to complete the transfer the console displays FEATURE NOT ALLOWED.
What could be wrong?

You cannot transfer a call originating from a console

You sure about that?

I would agree that you cannot transfer a call if the console is the device to be transferred but I have issues with a console not being able to initiate a call and then transfer said call to its intended party.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Perhaps I misread the transfer bit for this issue.

This sounds like a trunk to trunk issue rather than a Tenant issue

Lets split this down as I understand it

1. Console makes an external call using a trunk to a extension on the system (DDI)
2. Call is received by extension as an incoming external call
3. Extension then transfers the call to another extension
4. Call fails FEATURE NOT ALLOWED

Are the following COS options enabled on the consoles, stations and trunks

Public Network Access via DPNSS
Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed

Public Network Access via DPNSS (YES)
Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed (YES)

1.console makes outgoing call
2.call gets answered
3.console wants to transfer call to extension
4.transfer fails

but the above scenario when done from extension transfer is completed

1.extension makes outgoing call
2.call gets answered
3.extension wants to transfer call to extension
4.transfer fails

I want the console to be able to call out then transfer to extensions. how is that achieved?

SORRY THE LAST PART SHOULD READ AS BELOW:-

but the above scenario when done from any extension,, transfer is completed

1.extension makes outgoing call
2.call gets answered
3.extension wants to transfer call to any extension
4.transfer successfull

Please note the difference with Supernova99's suggested steps.
