I have 4 Networked 3300 MXE systems, that I will call systems A, B, C, & D
on systems B & D, I have about 250 odd analog sets on ONS cards that that are restricted with cos/cor 1 the signs next to them say dial 201 for this, dial 202 for that, however i have had a number of people who apprently cant read the signs and they hit 0 which is the general operator in a different building, (which isn't where we want them to go) is there something I can do setting wise to prevent the designated analog sets from dialing 0 with either redirecting them to 201 or them getting a busy signal ? as some of the options would would call a Phone on switch C

Is the dial zero end point on a different system or just a different building?

Do any phones that share the system with the analog phones need to dial zero?

What exactly is zero defined as on the system in question (speedcall?, remote DN?, Other?) use maint command - Locate number 0

There are several ways this can be done, some are better then others.

@macphoneguy, I'm traveling down a similar path (albeit with a vMCD/gateway scenario). What version of MCD are you running? If it's 6.0 then read up on Location Based Numbers (Zones). Here is a snippet:

Description

With Location Based Call Routing, a call from an extension to a service or destination such as Emergency (911), Directory Assistance (411), or a corporate Help Desk is sent to the service situated in the same network zone (Network Zones) as the originating device. For example, when a New York-based Hot Desk user logs into a phone in Chicago and dials 911, the system routes the call to the Chicago Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), not the New York PSAP.

Example 1 - Operator

Scenario: Physical sets located in Zones 2 and 3 are registered with the MCD located in Zone 1. Operators are located in Zones 2 and 3.
Requirement: When the user dials "0", the call is routed to the operator in the zone from which the user is dialing.
Programming required:
[ul]
[li]Program console in Zone 2 as DN 2000, and Zone 3 console as DN 3000.[/li]
[li]If not already configured, add "0" to the Location Based Numbers form[/li]
[li]If not already configured, add LBN Prefix digits for each zone in the Network Zones form.[/li]

[/ul]Call Processing: When a user in Zone 3 dials "0", the MCD retrieves the digits for the zone of the originating device -- LBN Prefix for Zone 3 is 300. These digits are combined with the dialed digits to form a new number 3000 (LBN Prefix 300 + dialed digit 0 = 3000). The new digits are retranslated and the operator in Zone 3 will receive the call.

SMDR example:
01/17 22:57:37 0000:00:07 16850 *0004 3000 I
ATT1 300
0 168

In this example, extension 16850 (Zone 3) dialed 0 and the call was routed to the operator 3000.

thanks Bribob, i will check on the mcd version when I get in,
the 0 is defined as system speed call which calls the operrator in all swithes
No, the shared phones should not be dialing 0 bitself they should only be dialing 201, 202, 203, 204, 205

loction based routing may help but if your software doesn't support it then I would look at what 0 is. If you truely need everyone to dial 0 and reach a single destination it is typically a system speed dial and the speed dial form is shared across all switches. If the system speed dial form is not shared then you could define a speed dial 0 in each switch. Not sure if this would apply.

Also did you look at putting the phones in their own tenant becuase I think each tenant can have a dial 0 point?

The beatings will continue until morale improves.
