I have a customer who has 30 ISDN channels and he wants one half of the company to dial out on the first 15 channels and the other half to dial out on the last 15. Can this be done.
Many thanks.

Sure, you would just have to setup the 15 channels on different Group ID's. Then you'd have to create short codes in the users whom would use under their individual "short codes" for the dial.

That's the bit I'm stuck on bwilch, setting up 15 of the 30 channels on a different a Group ID.

I don't have a T1 module in my testing unit, so I'm doing this from memory, but once you have the ISDN configured, you go under the individual channels of the ISDN, you can set the "incoming/outgoing" group services.

That could be my problem, I have an E1 module and it's beginning to look like I will need an E1-R2 module if I'm going to be able to do this. Thats if an E1-R2 module is compatable with this customers IPO.

You cannot subdivide an E1 trunk
you could specify different outgoing CLI's for each company or fit a 2nd epri & have BT reconfigure your setup for 2 15 channel circuits

Good to know IPGuru, I appoligize alan24, I made the assumption that you just had two T1 circuits. Hard to get through my thick skull that there are other types of circuits out there :D
