For some reason accepted Meeting requests showing as tentative and accepted. Is there anyway to turn off the automatic tenative function in Outlook 2003?

In Outlook 2003, any Calendar Invitation sent to a mailbox will show up as Tentative until the recipient takes action on it. This is a "feature" :). It's supposed to be a "placeholder" in case another user sends a conflicting appointment.
But, I agree, it's a lousy idea.

The problem is when the person accepts the request, it shows as accepted and tenative.

I misunderstood, sorry. So, when you open the meeting, it actually says "Accepted and Tentative" in the header? Or does it say "Accepted as Tentative"?

If you open the calandar you can see the same meeting as tenative and accepted.

All users or just one user? If one, any rules running? How about re-creating the Outlook profile?

I've tried that. It is a few different users that have noticed it. It is also happening in out resource mailboxes like for scheduling meetings.

Any possibility that more than one person is acting on these appointments, like delegates?

The conference rooms have no delegates. Only the default permissions. Everyone can book a conference room.
