Temporary tables populated slow from report

I created several stored PL/SQL procedures to populate temporary tables off which I do my report. If executed directly on the DB (Oracle 9i, from TOAD) the procedures take seconds to execute. However, when I call the same procedures from the report trigger, they work very very slow (half an hour or so). What may be causing such a strange behaviour?

What "Rep trigger" are u calling it from

It is AFTER PARAMETER FORM trigger.
