We have a Merlin Magix and Merlin Messaging. To do a temporary closing, such as for a holiday, we do a temporary schedule in Merlin Messaging for the AutoAttendant and then take the night service timer off. We then put the night bell on manually on the operator console which sends all calls to the AutoAttendant. Our system is set up that during regular office hours no call goes to AutoAttendant and voicemail-always to the receptionist and will loop around until she picks up.
Our problem is that if the company is closing for snow and no one is in the office, how do we invoke the night service. I can do the temporary schedule in Messaging and take the night service timer off remotely but the night bell itself will come off once normal open hours occurs and no calls will go to the AutoAttendant. For instance, we had to close on Monday for snow. At 6 AM I changed the temporary schedule to closing starting at 6 AM using a temporary greeting. I also took night service timer off. All was good until 8:30, our normal open hours. The night bell went off and all calls went to the receptionist, who wasn't there because of the snow. How can I keep the night service on without manually pushing the night service button on the console.
Thanks for any help.
