Client just called. They have a CICS with a Flash 2. All inbounds calls are being answered by Flash.

As of yesterday, all calls are being answered by Flash except the announcement is "Good day, you have reached (name of company)you have reached the temporary mailbox of (name of company). Please leave a message...."

I just called in & it sounds like the voice of the lady that recorded the greetings but we never recorded that announcement. She hasn't worked there for several years.

Client is 2 hours away & I am waiting for the office manager to get there so I can have him reboot the Flash to see if that corrects the problem.

Any thoughts?

Delete the lady's mailbox and remove FNA on her old DN and test.
Could be (as my fist guess) the lines are A&P on her old DN and phone was unplugged so now it's going straight to mail.

What is supposed to happen? CCR path 0 to follow?

All phones are Appear only. No CCR, just AA with instructions such as "For Joe, press 103, Jim press 105, etc..."

This client insisted on keeping their old Panasonic ext #'s. Ext 102 was setup with a M7100 in the Equipment room & forwarded to a new DN so the user wouldn't & couldn't log in to VM admin if that tells you anything.

Just can't figure out where this greeting for the "Temporary" mailbox came from and why it's answering all of a sudden...

Sounds like calls now going to an old message on Bell Canada's Call Answer? Maybe Flash is down.

Lines were with Bell at the time of installation. However have been with Videotron (cable) for 2 0r 3 years. Doubt they ever set up a VM mailbox on Videotron's system. Still waiting for the office manager to call when he arrives at work....

You can check quickly if it's the Flash that's answering.

When you here the greeting press ** and see if you are prompted for remote vm log in.

When I hit ** it says to get a hold of another person enter the number. When I enter an extension number such as 105 it says it has to be a 10 digit number. If I enter 102 & the password it says the number is invalid.

If I had entered # in lieu of **, for some unknown stupid reason it goes to MY cell voicemail...

Manager finally called back. Turns out that Videotron has a major fault going on where 40% of their clients are out of service. He also told me that they had no dial tone so they were unable to call out as well.

Would have been REAL nice if they had told me that at first....

Why is it always assumed to be our fault 1st?....Uggg

Can't. MA client and normally a good client at that....
