Hello everyone.

Just had a simple question, hoping to get a simple response.

Question is, is there any way of preventing Internet explorer from saving anythin into the temporary internet files? I wish to have the folder empty all the time, including deleting the cookies at the end of each day.

Thank you for all your help and advice.

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > under security (all the way down towards the bottom), chekcing Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed will purge them every time the browser is shut down.

You're rally not going to be able to keep anything empty "all the time," as these things are written as you surf.
As I noted above, you can purge your Temp Internet Files when you shut down the browser, but automated cookie deletion is another story. There are numerous third-party apps that will do this for you.

Another option, while extreme, is to set your Privacy level to a rigid custom level (Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Advanced > check override automatic cookie handling, select Block first and third party cookies, Apply)

Of course, you do this and surfing/site access will be quite limited

So much for "simple question, simple response," eh?
You could, if you're so inclined, achieve what you want by editing your autoexec.bat file. Have a look here:
