Hi,

I've got a build up of temp files in my C:\ of a Win2k3 install. The files are "Cst1a5142444121981490.tmp" where the numbers are all different but i can't trace it back to anything specific.

I've got hundreds of these files and i manually delete them from time to time but they just keep building up.

Is there any way to tell where they are coming from?

Thanks.

I guess you have tried looking at their properties ?
If you run set at a command prompt, you should be able to see your .tmp file path. c:\ is not the default location.

Thank you. After some more investigation i found the files are being dumped in the C:/ from Brightstor, appearently a message to "mount blank media or media not belonging to any pool media"

Thanks for the response.
