This might be a very simple question but it seems impractible to me...

Almost every time when I compile my package from a .wsi I get an error message such as 'file with key xxxx located at xxxx could not be compressed. This may be a temporary file location. Make sure the file has a source path.'

In the Installation Expert the file is present (with a source path) as wel as it is present in the Tables (Setup Editor)

Is there any one that could point me where to look to solve this problem.

thanks in advance
Jurgen

Just to cover all bases, are you sure that all trouble files actually exist in the source path shown in installation expert? An easier way may be to look at the WiseSourcePath table and check that each trouble file really exists in its associated source path.

In this case it was only one file (tmp.edb). The file exists in the source path and also in the WiseSourcePath.

Is SetupCapture the way to go to capture Office 2000? I thought I needed *.msi files if I used SMS so that's way I'm trying this. Is there a better way such as using transform files?

Thanks again.
