Hey, anyone know of a quick way to temporarily disable new logins to a Win2k3 TS in app mode? I know there's a way to do this in Citrix (or at least there was). Basically I want to do remote server maintenance through TS (applying app patches, etc) and don't want to disconnect myself, but don't want others connecting while I'm doing the maintenance.

Thanks!!

Real quick like, and allowing yourself to connect, you could remove the permissions for everyone but domain admin/enterprise admin from the Permissions tab in the Terminal Services Configuration mmc. Probably not the best way, but it'll work!

Just don't forget to add the users permission back when you're done.

Yeah, with citrix and a published app, that kind of stuff is a snap..

Depending on the number of users, you can disable their account in the Active Directory. These changes apply immediately. Just remember to reactive them after.
