We've come up against this in two forms. A re-reoute to a recorded message and and re-route to a cordless analog set.

What the client wants to do is re-route to an analog set that they use during a meeting, this temporary re-route can be activated and de-activated via a key press.

We've tried this on single sets using call forward, works a treat. But our problem is that the main line comes into a ring group and we need to re-route the group. We can't use night service to direct as they have a specific message for night service. Any idea's, the only other method is to manaully type in the route on the form to the analog DN.

This system is a 3300 CX with the lastest build of software. The sets are all 5312.

Put the group in Do Not Disturb mode using the do not disturb remote feature. (requires assigning a FAC for this if not already done) Assign the 1st alternate reroute to go to the desired DN. Will need 2 buttons, DND remote w/target number of the group and DND remote cancel.

Have you considered reversing your logic?

Have the call terminate to the analog set. Have the set routed to the Ring Group under normal conditions and remove the routing when necessary.

I've now solved this. If anyone's interested in my solution here it is.

I just programmed the Analog DN as a re-route on NIGHT2. As this client uses night service in a manual switch over, the schedule doesn't come into play. So during their meeting they have a key programmed to dial **5

They can then press 1 for night service, 2 to divert to analog and 0 to return all call routes back to normal.
