I have created templates with backgrounds in DW MX. If you open the template locally by double clicking on the template, the background shows. If you go in through file/new/templates and select the template that way, the background doesn't show. You can see where it is referenced in the code, but it does not show.
Also, after creating the templates everytime you try to save a page you get a message:
"You have placed an editable region inside a <p> tag or other blocked tag.Users of this new template will not be able to create new paragraphs in this region. Move the region outside the <p> tag if you wish to allow this."
When I set up the templates I created a page with the regions I wanted editable (update date, header, body text etc.) I did this by highlighting the text and making it an editable region. It appears that by doing this the <P> tag is contained within the editable region. How would I create this editable region without the <P> tag?
I hope someone can help me. I am new to MX and not really well versed in any of this. I work for the STate of Minnesota, who like so many others has no money and will not send us to training. We are to figure things out on our own. HELP!!!!
