Sometimes when this machine invokes a telnetd process for a pseudo tty the end user machine may not get a login for minutes. Days later it is discovered that the process is still running and shows up in in a ps script that tells you of processes using more than 5% resources (per Man page). SAR tells me that when this process is hanging, other processes take quadruple their regular time. This comes and goes and without warning. Does this sound familiar to anyone? [sig][/sig]
