telnet timeout?

Is there anywhere you can set the timeout period for an inactive telnet session?

TMOUT=900; export TMOUT in .profile or /etc/profile (for all users) sets 900 secs (15 mins) timeout for ksh. see man ksh

set autologout=15 sets autologout in tcsh to 15 mins. see man tcsh.
