Hello All,

I am trying to set up some linux workstations to access a terminal based cobol application running on AIX. The problem is that none of the function keys used to navigate menus in the cobol application work. I have tried a number of different terminal settings, but nothing seems to work. I'm running out of ideas. Can anybody help with this?

Thanks,

Most likely you must determine the type of terminal the COBOL application is expecting. It probably uses the terminfo database to communication but you cannot be sure. Depending on the cobol facility used there might be a keyboard mapping utility that will assist you with these definitions. I'd first ask the developers or who ever you purchased the application from.
