Telnet Question

Hi Guys, When I remotely login to my solaris 8 box through telnet or ssh it automatically kicks me out if I stay idle for couple of minutes, is there a configuration that I can do so it won't kick me out, or if I can increase the time I can stay Idle. By the way I use putty to access the solaris box if that helps.
