Telnet Issue with Cisco VPN

We host an application of ours on a server that our clients connect to via a Cisco 3005 VPN concentrator that they attach to via the Cisco IPSEC client or the SSL Web VPN in some cases. Once they have connected they use our client software to establish a telnet connection with the server and open up our software.

Recently, many of our clients have reported their telnet sessions dropping after 30 minutes to an hour. The VPN session does not disconnect and we have tested our software repeatedly to ensure the problem is not with our application. Is there any reason why a telnet session would drop like this and if so, is there a way to prevent it?

Check the TELNET settings on your SERVER, and see if there is a limit to simultaneous sessions, and an inactivity timeout of some sort.
It is possible that this may have nothing to do with the VPN at all.
