Is this possible? It would be nice to review the configuration of a phone from a remote location.

NCSS, NCDS, for CS1000 and BCM

Thanks Ucxguy,

I found this same blog after publishing this thread. Unfortunately it does not help my problem. I need to verify a configuration of the the QoS setting in the phone. These phones are out on an island and a ferry is the only way out to them. The customer is having issues with QoS. Since AVAYA took over the phones by default use 41 and 47 for QoS markings. Nortel always used 40 and 46. The network is set up for 40 and 46. Looks like I will send a guy out to verify and change if needed. While we are there we will run Net IQ testing of the network which i suspect is what the real problem is.

UNISTIM firmware provides DSCP override settings - you should be able to use them to specify for example the recommended EF value of 0x2E (46). I am not sure about SIP firmware.

I realize there is an override. You uncheck the AVAYA Auto QoS and then fill in what you want for the signaling and Media. The problem is my fingers are not long enough nor can I see that far to reach out to the island and verify if that has been done or to actually do it. Doing this through SSH would be nice but it appears those are not options that can be changed remotely.

Anyone know how to access the vxshell listed in the pdtHelp? It says to get a challenge answer from a website but the site appears to be a dead link.
