I'm not able to connect to the SCO Server using Telnet, FTP, or HTTP which was working till today.
I'm able to ping the server from any terminal or PC and vice-versa.
One of the weirdest things happened, We were closed yesterday and I'd shutdown the server for the day. Today I was hoping to solve the issue. And I couldn't beleive it. Telnet, Ftp, http are working...
But I don't understand I'd restarted the server 4 - 5 times. I still don't get the root cause.
By the way i did run the command you gave, and below is the output.
There were no errors in /usr/adm/messages & mail. No failed streams. But there is this error which is still there in /usr/adm/syslog
Aug 16 14:42:52 scosysv telnetd[6915]: can't find user in protected password database
Aug 16 14:43:27 scosysv bootpd[641]: bad addr len from from Ethernet address 52.41.53.20.10.93
But since telnet, ftp, http are working, I guess this is not the problem.
We've a LTS (Lan Terminal Server), that I'm checking out. this could've triggered the problem.
I really appreciate the time you've spent. Life has never been easy with Unix for a MS guy like me until I came into this Forum.
