Hi. I have a Spectrum24-based network comprised of 2 WAP, 2 Symbol PDT8100 handheld scanners, and a Wavelink Studio COM application which the scanners connect to.
There are periods of time where users attempt to connect to the Wavelink host and receive an error dialog titled 'Telnet' w/the error "A connection to the host cannot be made." Some days we do not have this problem at all, other days we are plagued with this and are totally unable to connect.
I've checked the server, hardware, etc, and everything seems to be ok. I've setup Wavelink to display event logs in the server's eventvwr whenever something happens, but I see absolutely not events being registered when this error occurs. I've also contacted Wavelink directly (might as well have talked to the wall), and after 5 weeks of "research" they came back and said that the error was not Wavelink-related and they couldn't tell me what to do.
Could anyone give me any advise to help troubleshoot this? Thanks!
